Position: Tap Room Server


  • Smart Serve certification
  • Any previous hospitality, barista, or customer service experience
  • Positive, approachable, and friendly service
  • Able to work nights and/or weekends
  • Possibility of working off-site for events and festivals around St. Catharines/Niagara

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • A friendly disposition and outgoing personality to represent Lock Street Brewery
  • A keen interest to learn about beer, the brewing process, and Lock Street Brewery
  • Learning the knowledge required about the menu and the products sold
  • Must be able to work both within a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
  • Building a friendly and welcoming connection with customers while effectively taking orders and attending to customers needs
  • Running and serving food in a timely and efficient manner
  • Handing of cash and POS transactions
  • Maintaining stock behind bar, keeping a spotless work environment, and have excellent communication with the rest of staff
  • Conducting all opening/closing/extra cleaning duties required while on shift

This position is a physically demanding one and will require the moving and manipulating of full beer kegs, standing for long periods of time, going up and down stairs, and lifting of cases of beer. It will also require working outside.

Position: Brewer
We are looking for a hard working motivated brewer with 1+ years of industry experience to join our production team. We have a unique brewing system and a traditional approach to beer production. 


Responsibilities and duties 
  • Brewing flagship and seasonal beers 
  • CIP of fermentors, brite tanks, brew house, kegs 
  • General brewery sanitation  
  • Canning Line operation and CIP
  • Recipe development
  • Inventory management
  • Yeast management 
  • Quality control and assurance 
Ideal candidate would 
  • Have 1+ years of experience in a brewery or brewpub 
  • Working knowledge of ingredients and equipment 
  • High attention to detail 
  • Willingness to learn 
  • Maintain and uphold a positive work environment
  • Smart serve certification
  • Strong sense of time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Looking for long term career 
Physical requirements
  • Must be able to lift 25 kg repeatedly throughout a day 
  • Stand for long periods of time 
  • Carry, move and lift heavy or awkward objects
